The Club shall be known as Cambridge United Football Supporters Club, hereinafter referred to as the “Club”.
The Club exists to provide members with facilities for social activities, recreation, mutual helpfulness and other advantages of a club.
For licensing purposes, the Cambridge United Football Supporters Club (CUFSC), Abbey Lounge, 530 Newmarket Road, Cambridge, CB5 8LN, will be used.
Members shall cease to be Members by:
A Member who has received a letter expelling them from the Club has the right to appeal to the Committee. No appeal shall be valid unless made in writing to the Secretary within one month after the letter of expulsion has been served. The Committee shall have full power to confirm, alter or rescind such expulsion and their decision is final.
10.4.1 The following shall not be admitted as visitors
a: Former Members who have previously been expelled from the Club.
b: Persons who have been refused Membership.
The Club operates a zero-tolerance policy and has expected standards of Behaviour at the Club. The Club is committed to ensuring that everyone has a positive and enjoyable experience when visiting the Club. To this end we have adopted the following principle governing the behaviour of all individuals whilst on the Club’s premises and grounds. Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests. Any misconduct by their guest may result in the suspension or expulsion of the member who signed them in.
11.1 ABUSE
a: Individuals MUST NOT physically or verbally abuse, use offensive, insulting or foul language or behave in an aggressive or intimidating manner towards anyone at the Club.
b: Anyone abusing Club Officials, Club Members, Guests or their Families will be asked to leave the Club and Members will face disciplinary action.
11.2 DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
a: Individuals MUST NOT deliberately damage the property of the Club, its Members or Guests.
b: Anyone caught deliberately damaging property will be asked to leave the Club and Members will face disciplinary action.
11.3 ALCOHOL
a: Individuals MUST NOT purchase alcohol for, or give alcohol to, or allow a person under the age of 18 to purchase or consume alcohol on the Club’s premises or grounds.
b: Anyone breaking the Club’s rules on the sale and consumption of alcohol by persons under the age of 18 will be asked to leave the Club and Members will face disciplinary action.
c: Anyone deemed to have had an excessive quantity of alcohol will be refused service.
11.4 TAKING AND DEALING ILLEGAL DRUGS
a: Individuals MUST NOT take or sell illegal drugs on the Club’s premises or grounds.
b: Anyone suspected of taking or dealing in illegal drugs will be asked to leave the Club and Members will face disciplinary action (LIFE TIME BAN)
11.5 SMOKING INCLUDING THE USE OF E-CIGARETTES AND VAPE EQUIPMENT
a: Individuals MUST NOT Smoke or use E-Cigarettes or Vape Equipment on the Club Premises.
b: Anyone refusing to comply with a request from a Club Official or Staff Member to stop smoking will be asked to leave the Club and Members will face disciplinary action.
11.6 BEHAVIOUR OF CHILDREN AT THE CLUB
The Club welcomes children at the Club, however Parents, Guardians and Carers:
a; Remain responsible for the safety and behaviour of their children in their care and MUST supervise them at all times when they are at the Club.
b: MUST NOT allow their children to sit at the bar.
c: MUST NOT allow their children to run around the Main Bar Area
d: MUST NOT allow their children to run along the furnishings.
e: When Entertainment is taking place, Children MUST be accompanied by an adult on the dance floor, or, should remain seated with their Parents, Guardians or Carers
f: Parents, Guardians and Carers refusing to comply with any reasonable requet from a Club Official or Member of Staff to supervise and/or control the behaviour of the children in their care will be asked to leave the Club and may face disciplinary action.
11.7 GAMING MACHINES
a: The Gaming Machines are for the use of Members only.
b: No person under the age of 18 is allowed to play on the Gaming Machines.
14.1 Secretary
a:: Keep accurate records of all meetings and correspondence.
b: Issue notices of meetings and communications to members.
c: Handle membership applications and records.
d: Maintain the official copy of the Constitution.
14.2 Treasurer
a; Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all Club income and expenditure.
b: Present a monthly report to the Committee.
c: Prepare a full set of Accounts to be presented to the Accountants for Auditing prior to the Annual General Meeting.
d: Maintain all banking and financial records for inspection by the Committee at any time.
An Income and Expenditure Account and Balance Sheet shall be made up annually to the 31st May to show the transitions of the Club and its financial provisions at the end of the Club’s financial year. These accounts shall be audited prior to the Annual General Meeting by a firm of qualified Auditors who shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting. A copy of the accounts and balance sheet shall be posted in a prominent place in the Club at least two clear days before the Annual General Meeting and shall remain until following the Annual General Meeting.
These Rules or any of them may be added to, repealed, amended or replaced by resolution at any General Meeting provided that no such resolution shall be deemed to have been passed unless carried by a majority of not less than two thirds of the total Members present at such meetings.
Any dispute arising out of or not covered by these Rules shall be referred to The Committee whose decision shall be final.
